A year has passed since i last saw one of my LOMLs (Love Of My Life..leslie--idolü)my ultimate billiards-player crush, Mika Immonen. The first time I saw him was on October 29,2003(tell you all the details some other time). The next was 11/29/03. The venue was at the Octagon Hall at Robinsons Galleria where international players all over the world came here in the country for the first-ever Cafe Puro Fil 9-ball open.
I was with my younger sister, Angel, that day. We had lots of fun "player-hunting",, asking all the billiards player we meet to have their pictures taken with us. we Had so much fun that we asked everyone we see, though we do not even know some of them..(others would just come up to us and say that this guy's a player)..ü
anyway,, I had the chance to talk to him.. for the second time.. though something went wrong.:c
but still,, we were able to watch the semi-finals match(Andam vs. Efren "Bata" Reyes) and of course the finals match(Reyes vs. Immonen).
My sister and I just bought the tickets worth P300 since we thought that we would see the same thing anyway when we buy the P500-worth tickets. So, to our surprise, we actually didn't know what was happening until we were seated right behind Mr. Immonen's seat. We were so happy to be seated there because we can see almost everything that he was doing-- including drinking his mineral water and chewing a gum that was provided on his table.
So.. the game was finished and Sir Immonen won the match and the next thing that happened was the awading ceremony. After that, while i was reaching on to some candy wraps, i asked Angel to immediately approach Mr. Immonen to do me a small favor. After struggling to get into a big crowd, my sister successfully fulfilled her mission--that is to have a picture signed by him.
We were so happy that night that we didn't notice that it was already ten in the evening and that our parents were already waiting for us. ü
